Client:

Carillion PLC

Contract period:

5 months (Oct 2014 – Feb 2015)

Contract Value:

£1,450,000

Scope of Works:

The overall project entailed constructing a widening to the M6 Northbound at Junction 32 and re surfacing the existing Motorway Lanes. The widening gave an extra running lane over the M55 crossover easing traffic congestion. DSD Construction secured the Surfacing package and successfully laid 15000 ton of bituminous materials. This Included Cl942 Thin Wearing Course System supplied by Lafarge Tarmac. DSD Construction also worked in partnership with NMS to deliver the Planing package of works.

Although the scheme was carried out over the winter months, good planning and good working relationships allowed DSD Construction to complete the Scheme on time and within budget.
